and I surround myself with books. It was very exciting to be able to
make books: to be a creator of them. I learned, slowly, how to use the
computer, and how to incorporate
my visual work so that it can be reproduced in a two-dimensional page.
And then I cut and glue and sew. It’s a very mechanical, technical
process that requires good craftsmanship."
